We sometimes get asked, why are your spigots double bolted when one bolt achieves the same thing?

Proscaf spigots are bolted to our standards with two M12x65 bolts meaning they can be used for propping, hanging, cantilevered, and craneable scaffold structures.

Nowra Bridge in NSW, Australia

During this project Proscaf was used to save the contractor significant expense. The stair towers that wrapped around the formwork on the bridge columns were able to be assembled on the bank of the river, then craned onto a barge to encapsulate the headstocks. With these structures able to be craned between barges, the time saved not having to dismantle and re-erect the scaffolding on each barge was extensive. Being able to erect the scaffold on the banks of the river was also safer and kept everything out of the way of the contractors on the barges.

Craneable structures are best utilized where there is a lot of repeat access requirements, such as access to headstocks on a bridge. Craning a scaffold around site means that contractors are able to get away with erecting and dismantling once, over against stripping and re-erecting the scaffold each time it needs relocating. These scaffolds are also best utilized where access to site is compromised, such as the job mentioned above.

Being able to assemble a structure where there is space, then crane it into position ensures that tight sites are not compromised during the erection and dismantling phases.
