Walk-On Nets

Walk-on nets or better known as Tensioned Access Platforms (TAP), have become a safe and important solution when working at height in construction. Made from high tenacity nylon or polypropylene with anti-UV treatment, they are ideal for void protection and as a surface to safely work from. The walk-on nets combined with debris mesh netting prevent objects falling through to lower levels. These features make them an ideal safety system that has been rapidly growing within the construction and scaffolding industry.
SafeSmart Access is proud to supply VisorNet Walk-On Nets in our range of debris and safety netting for New Zealand construction sites. They are designed to meet EN 1263.1, class B1 standard, and capable as a stable walking platform with its reduced sag. Tie ropes, additional clamping belts and tension straps can be used to reduce the sag of the netting and minimise any gaps found between the supporting structure and the connected walk-on net system.
When installing SafeSmart Walk-on Nets, they must be handled by a competent worker responsible for safely handling, assembling, transforming, dismantling, safe storage and transport of the nets. Accessing the working platform nets must be controlled at all times and those authorised must be aware of the platform’s loading capacity before use.
