Owners, of Auckland bar/restaurant, The Good Home needed to provide temporary cover for an existing outdoor area at the popular Mt Eden establishment. The extra space was needed for Lions fans to stay warm and dry while enjoying the Mt Eden establishment’s winter hospitality.
After talking to Frank Roberts from Dragon Scaffolding, brothers and co-owners, Stevie and Mark Brogan had the perfect solution, and the Lion’s Den was created.
Frank’s innovative use of Safesmart Access truss beams, tube and couplers provided the robust support structure, which when covered with white shrink-wrap provides protection from the cooler June weather. What’s more the temporary structure is in keeping with the aesthetics and cool ambience for which The Good Home is famous.
“This solution allows us to make the most of the Lions tour and to create an ambience, catering specifically to the Lions fans.” says Stevie, “and, we can easily dismantle, store and re-install for future events. Having this equipment ready to go means we can use it for other events and private functions throughout the year at the drop of a hat.”
Fully equipped with a big screen, we reckon the Lion’s Den, is the perfect pop-up venue for pre, during and post-game entertainment. Whatever the weather, and whether you are head-to-toe in red, or all black, bring your appetite, and enjoy the entertainment and hospitality in total comfort.
